1. Identification:

2. Reservation:

All reservation requests may be made in writing, by by email.

Reservations will be confirmed within 48 hours of making a Booking Request. Full details of the hotel you have requested, or the alternative that we have booked for you, will be provided.

3. Reservation of the room:

If the room is full in the requested hotel, it will be reserved in another similar one. In the unlikely event of a confirmed hotel booking being unavailable, we will use our best efforts to supply similar class of accommodation within the same geographical area.

4. For the room:

Early check in
The room is available from 12h or 14h, if you would like an early check–in, you should inform us then we may make an arrangement with the hotel but a supplement is charged on your own.

Late check-out:
Where guests check out late, being after 12h but before 18h, guest will be charged an additional 50% of the relevant Room rate. Where a guest check out late after 18h, will be charged 100% of the relevant room rate.

5. Deposits & Payment Policy:

A deposit nonrefundable of 20% of the tour price per person plus bank charges (credit card/bank transfer processing fees) is required upon confirmation of your booking (if this amount is less than 100 USD, a 100 USD per person deposit will apply).Once a deposit is received it is understood that you have read, understood and accepted all our terms and conditions and we send you the final program by email or by fax.

The remainder of the balance is to be paid upon arrival to Sri Lanka but you can also pay the balance by bank transfer before your arrival to Sri Lanka. (Bring with you the draft) If incase of bank transfer, customer must pay additional cost of USD 20.00 per transaction.

The payment upon arrival can be made by Cash: we accept money (Euro, Dollar American, Dollar Canadian, Sterling Pound, Japanese Yen, and Sri Lankan Rupees). Cash is preferred to reduce any processing fees that may affect your cost.

6. Rates & Taxes:

Our prices are inclusive of service charge & government taxes and subject to change with any increase in government taxes.

7. If you cancel your holiday:

You, or any member of your party, may cancel your travel arrangements at any time. Written notification by mail, fax or email from the ‘lead name’ on the booking or your Travel Agent on your behalf, must be received at our offices. Since we incur costs in cancelling your travel arrangements, you will have to pay the applicable cancellation shown in the grid below.

Note: if the reason for your cancellation is covered under the terms of your insurance policy, you may be able to reclaim these charges from your insurance company.

More than 84 days before arrival: no cancellation charge (refundable deposit of 10% will be forfeited)
57-84 days before arrival: 30%
37-56 days before arrival: 50%
22-36 days before arrival: 70%
07-21 days before arrival: 90%
Less than 7 days before arrival: 100 %

*In some cases the deposit may be a higher amount to secure your arrangements, this will be non-refundable and the charges will be added to the cancellation charges above

Our cancellation charges are a percentage of the total holiday cost, not including your insurance premium which is non-refundable. These charges are based on how many days before your departure we receive your cancellation notice and not when your correspondence was sent to us. Please note that any amendment charges are non-refundable. For insurance premiums you should refer to your insurance provider’s cancellation policy.

Please note, if only some members of your party cancel, in addition to incurring the applicable cancellation charges, we will recalculate the holiday cost for the remaining travelers. You may have to pay the extra room charges such as single room supplements.

In cases where cancellation charges made by our suppliers are higher than the cost of the deposit, we may pass the charge on to you. Please ask for full details and we will notify you of the specific charges applicable to your booking.

8. Unused services:

No Refunds or exchange can be made in respect of accommodation, meals, sightseeing tours, transports or any other services which are included in the tour prices but not utilized by the tour member.

9. Liability:

Sri Lankan Footprint Holidays acts only in the capacity of agent for its travelers in making arrangements for transportation, hotels, and other services that are incidental to the travel that is being purchased. As agent for the travelers, Sri lankan Footprint Holidays is not responsible for any loss, injury, damage, death caused by to the tourists including those occurring outside of the normal touring programs.

It does not assume any liability for any injury, damage, death, loss, accident, or delay caused by strikes, civil disturbances, hostilities, acts of war or other force majeure. It accepts no responsibility for any omission, delay, re-touring, additional expenses, or other events resulting from improper health certificates, or necessary documents to enter or depart a country, or acts of any government authority.

Additional expenses incurred due to delay, accident, natural disaster, political actions and unrest shall be borne by the tourists. Tourists are required to have full travel insurance.

Airline schedules and local conditions may affect accommodation and itineraries. Should this occur, Sri lankan Footprint Holidays will endeavor to substitute a suitable arrangement of similar value. Participation on any tours implies full agreement to the above conditions by all parties involved.

10. Travel Insurance:

Travel insurance is not included in your tour price. It is the passenger’s responsibility to verify whether his/her local health insurance carrier provides coverage while traveling. Please contact your insurance carrier for details.

Sri lankan Footprint Holidays strongly advises that you purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy to cover all aspects of your tour including the loss of deposits through cancellation, loss of baggage and personal items, personal injury and death. A waiver must be signed if insurance is declined. Be sure you are welcomed with Sri lankan Footprint Holidays and have a nice trip!
